The Moomin characters are the creation of Tove Jansson, a Finnish writer and artist, who wrote the books between 1945 and 1977. The Moomin design on the Rose mug is from a 1956 comic strip called 'Moomin Falls In Love'. Made by Arabia, a Finnish porcelain maker since 1873, the mug is dishwasher , microwave , and oven safe.
