K&D Equestrian - 172 Mineral FeederThe KD 172 Mineral Feeder has some great qualities that most other mineral feeders do not. The high impact material makes it great for pasture use. In the bottom of the feeder you will notice slots and holes for rain water to run off so the block does not dissolve or turn in to mush. The side walls are taller than most feeders as well to protect from knocking the block out of the feeder.

Set screws are poor quality and are sometimes powdercoated on the exposed threads. Leads to striped hex sockets and inability to tighten properly. Durable finish as evidenced by no visible damage after throwing parts across the shop in frustration. Ended up running self tapping screws thru parts to complete assembly.
